Ingredients for Crazy Dough Pizza

- Crazy Dough (enough for a 10-inch pizza base)
- 5 Minute Pizza Sauce (homemade or store-bought, about ½ cup)
- Olive Oil (for brushing, about 1 tablespoon)
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (1-2 cups, adjust to preference)
- Pepperoni Slices (or your favorite toppings like olives, onions, or bell peppers)
- Flour (for dusting the surface and tray)
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 450°F (225°C) and place a pizza stone or flat baking tray inside to preheat.
- Roll Out the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll the crazy dough into a 10-inch round.
- Prepare the Tray: Dust a flat-edged baking tray with flour to prevent sticking. Carefully transfer the rolled-out dough onto the tray.
- Add Olive Oil and Sauce: Brush the dough with olive oil, then spoon the 5 Minute Pizza Sauce evenly over the base.
- Add Toppings: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by pepperoni or your preferred toppings.
- Bake the Pizza: Slide the pizza onto the preheated tray in the oven (or bake directly on the tray if it’s too heavy). Bake for 9-12 minutes until the crust is crisp and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Serve: Remove from the oven, slice, and serve immediately. Enjoy your gourmet Crazy Dough Pizza!
Creative Topping Combinations to Try
Crazy Dough Pizza is a blank canvas for your favorite flavors! For a classic combo, try pepperoni, mushrooms, and mozzarella. Feeling adventurous? Go for caramelized onions, goat cheese, and arugula after baking. Vegetarian lovers can pile on roasted red peppers, artichokes, and feta. Don’t forget to drizzle with balsamic glaze for extra flair!
Perfect Pairings for Your Pizza Night
Serve your Crazy Dough Pizza with a fresh Caesar salad or a side of garlic knots for a complete meal. Pair it with a chilled glass of sparkling water with lemon or a crisp white wine for a refreshing touch. For dessert, keep it simple with a scoop of vanilla gelato or a slice of tiramisu.
How to Store and Reheat Leftovers
Store leftover pizza in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, place slices on a baking sheet and warm in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 5-7 minutes, or until crispy. For a quick fix, use a skillet on medium heat to revive the crust’s crunch without drying it out.
Time-Saving Tips for Busy Cooks
Prep your toppings and sauce ahead of time to streamline the process. Use a pre-made pizza sauce or whip up a batch of my 5-Minute Pizza Sauce in advance. If you’re short on time, skip rolling the dough and press it directly onto the baking tray for a rustic, quick pizza base.
Essential Equipment for Pizza Perfection
A pizza stone is ideal for achieving a crispy crust, but a flat baking tray works just as well. Use a rolling pin to evenly flatten the dough, and a pizza peel or large spatula to transfer it to the oven. Don’t forget a sharp pizza cutter for clean, easy slices!

Crazy Dough Pizza
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450oF (225oC). Place a pizza stone or a flat baking tray in the oven to pre heat.
- On a lightly floured surface roll out the crazy dough base to around 10 inch round.
- Carefully transfer your pizza base to the flat edged baking tray that has been dusted with flour. Dusting it with flour helps the pizza slide off easily.
- Brush with olive oil the spoon over the sauce in a even layer.
- Sprinkle over the cheese and top with pepperoni or additional toppings of your choice (I love to add olives, onion, diced bell peppers, its endless).
- Slide your pizza from the tray directly on to the pre-heated tray in the oven (if you find your pizza is too heavy with toppings to slide then just put it into the oven on the tray it is already on).
- Bake for about 9-12 minutes until the curst is slightly risen and crisp and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Slice and serve immediately. Enjoy!
