4-Ingredient Water Crackers Recipe
Shaziya
These 4-Ingredient Water Crackers are a game-changer for anyone who loves simple, wholesome snacks. The dough comes together in 30 minutes, and after a quick rest, they bake to golden perfection in just 12 minutes.
Prep Time 30 minutes mins
Cook Time 12 minutes mins
Total Time 1 minute min
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour 7 ½ oz/213 g
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 7 tablespoons water 3 ½ fl oz/105 ml
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
In a medium bowl, stir the flour, salt, water and oil together until moistened.
Turn the mixture out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth, using a touch more flour if the dough is very sticky and a bit more water if the dough seems dry.
Wrap the dough well and let rest for 1 hour to relax the gluten.
When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
On a floured surface, roll the dough as thin as possible. Using a 3-inch (7 ½ cm) round cutter, cut as many circles as you can and place on the prepared baking sheets. (They will shrink as they bake so no need to space them out.) Prick the crackers with a fork in a few places.
Bake one tray at a time for 10-12 minutes, until lightly golden.
Once completely cool, place in an airtight container for up to one week.
