Giant One-Pan Skillet Cookie (With Loads of M&Ms!)

This Giant One-Pan Skillet Cookie is a showstopper that brings joy to every bite. In just 15 minutes of prep and 22 minutes of baking, you’ll have a warm, shareable dessert that’s as fun to make as it is to eat.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour 10½oz/355g
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter 8oz/225g
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar 6oz/170g
  • ½ cup granulated sugar 4oz/115g
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup M&M's 4½oz/130g

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • Heat a 12-inch cast iron skillet over low heat. Add the butter and let it melt completely. Remove from the heat and stir in the sugars with a wooden spoon.
  • Whisk together the eggs in a bowl. Add it to the skillet and mix in right away with a spoon, quickly mixing so the eggs don’t cook from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Stir in the dry ingredients until just combined. Lastly, fold in the M&M's. Wipe down any flour that is left on the sides.
  • Bake the cookie for 20 to 22 minutes, or until it’s mostly set in the center. (take care not to overbake or it will not be gooey in the middle. Serve warm from the oven with vanilla ice cream.
