Homemade Gummy Recipe (Fruit Juice)
Shaziya
Homemade gummies are a delightful way to enjoy your favorite fruit juices in a fun, chewy treat. With just 20 minutes of prep and a quick 10-minute cook time, you can create vibrant, flavorful gummies that burst with natural sweetness.
Prep Time 20 minutes mins
Cook Time 10 minutes mins
Total Time 4 minutes mins
- 3 tablespoons unflavored powdered gelatin
- 2 tablespoons water 30 ml/1 fl oz
- 1 cup pure fruit juice, strained 8 fl oz/240 ml
- 2 tablespoons honey (or agave)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Place a silicone gummy bear mold on a baking sheet and set aside.
Bloom the gelatin: in a small bowl, combine the gelatin with the water. Stir and let sit while you prepare the remaining ingredients.
In a small saucepan, combine the juice, honey (or agave) and lemon juice, and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Remove from the heat and stir in the gelatin for a few minutes, until completely dissolved.
Pass through a sieve and into a jug with a pour spout to ensure that the mixture is free of small lumps or pulp.
Pour the mixture into the gummy bear molds and refrigerate for 4 hours, until completely set.
Pop the gummy bears out of the molds. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. (If stacking, use parchment paper between the layers.)
